Create Your Account

Creating your show.fm account takes a couple of minutes. Once you're signed up, you'll have access to your dashboard where you can create podcasts, manage episodes, and set up automations.

What You'll Need

• A valid email address you can check right away
• A password (at least 8 characters)

Steps

1. Go to the sign up page

Visit my.show.fm/signup. If you picked a plan on the pricing page first, the page names it and shows its price and what's included, and a bar at the top shows the three steps ahead. On a phone, tap Details under the header to see the plan.

2. Enter your details

1. Email: use an email address you have access to
2. Password: choose a secure password of at least 8 characters
3. Read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then tick I agree to the Terms of Service and acknowledge the Privacy Policy

You don't need to give your name yet. We ask for it once your email is confirmed.

To receive show.fm news, tick Email me show.fm news (optional). You can leave it unchecked and still create your account. For new subscribers, this selects app updates, the latest show.fm podcast episodes and posts, and podcast industry news. If we find an existing subscription when checking your address, we leave its preferences unchanged. You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email. Getting-started guides and important account emails are separate from this choice. You can stop the guides using their footer link or the separate switch in Notification settings.

3. Create your account

A short security check runs while you type. Until it finishes, the button reads Checking your browser...; it usually takes a moment, and if Cloudflare asks you to confirm you are a person, do that first.

Click Create account. If something needs fixing, a message at the top says how many things to check, and each one is explained under its field.

Already have an account?

If your email already has an account, the page says so and offers a sign-in button that keeps your plan or invitation, for example Sign in to continue. You can also use the Sign in link at the bottom of the form.

4. Confirm your email

show.fm sends a 6-digit code to your email address, and the page changes to Check your email. The code lasts 15 minutes.

1. Type or paste the code into the 6-digit code field. Your phone may also offer to fill it in from the email.
2. The code is checked as soon as all six digits are in. You can also click the button under the field (Confirm email, or Confirm and go to payment if you chose a paid plan).

Didn't get the code? Check your spam folder, then click Send a new code. After a new code is sent you can ask for another after a minute. Entered the wrong email? Click Change it.

5. Tell us what to call you

Once your email is confirmed, the page asks What should we call you?. Enter your name in Your name (up to 100 characters) and click the button, which names where you're going next. Your team sees this name, and our emails use it to say hello. You can change it later in Account settings.

Picked a plan first?

If you chose a paid plan or an add-on, confirming your email takes you straight to secure checkout on Stripe instead, and we ask what to call you on the confirmation page after you pay. See Paying on Stripe.

Joining a team, connecting WordPress or claiming a profile

The sign up page adapts to where you came from:

• A team invitation: the page names the show and who invited you, and the email field is fixed to the invited address. If it isn't your address, click Not you? to see what to do. After you give your name, you go straight back to the invitation to accept it.
• The show.fm WordPress plugin: switch between Create account and Sign in at the top. After you give your name, we finish connecting your site.
• Claiming a guest profile: after you give your name, you go back to your profile to claim it.

Arriving through a partner link

If your signup link includes a valid partner code, show.fm records the partner against your new account when you confirm your email. It may also record when you first pay an invoice. This does not change your plan or price.

The code travels in the signup link. We do not save it in a referral cookie or browser storage, so a later visit without that link will not be attributed.

Review your agreement

We keep a record of the policy versions you accepted, the wording shown and when your agreement was recorded. Signup agreements are recorded when you confirm your email.

New accounts without a saved record see Before you continue, which asks you to review the policies and choose Agree and continue. Older accounts can keep using the app and choose Review your agreement when ready. Existing notice and cancellation rights still apply. You can sign out or contact support if you have questions or want to close your account. Once your agreement is saved, you return to your intended page.

Acknowledging the Privacy Policy confirms that we have provided the notice. It is not blanket consent to use your information for other purposes.

Signing In

If you already have an account, sign in at my.show.fm/login. Enter your email and password, and click Sign in once the security check has finished. If you picked a plan first, the page says Sign in to continue to checkout and the button Sign in and continue takes you straight to Stripe.

If the email and password don't match, the page says so above the form. Try again, or reset your password.

The security check will not load?

It needs JavaScript and a connection to Cloudflare. If it reports that it could not load, refresh the page; a browser extension that blocks third-party scripts can also stop it, so allow challenges.cloudflare.com for my.show.fm.

Forgot your password?

1. Click Forgot password? on the sign in page
2. Enter the email you signed up with, let the security check finish, and click Email me a reset link
3. Open the emailed link, enter a new password under Set new password, and click Update password
4. Sign in with your new password

Your Dashboard

After signing in you'll see your dashboard, the home base for all your podcasts. It greets you with Welcome back and shows counts for your Podcasts, Episodes, and Guests.

From here you can:

• Click Create Podcast to set up your first show
• Follow the Get Started checklist in the sidebar as it tracks your setup progress
• Open Account Settings from the sidebar to complete your profile

Invited onto someone's podcast?

Guests don't need an account to collaborate on an episode. Your invitation email gives you portal access directly. See our guides for guests.
