You've Been Invited Onto a Podcast!

Welcome! If a podcast host sent you a link to a "guest portal", you're in the right place. This section explains what that is and how to use it, assuming you've never seen show.fm before.

What Is All This?

The podcast you're appearing on is managed with show.fm. As their guest, you get a private page for your episode, called the guest portal, where you can:

  • See when the recording happens and join the meeting with one click
  • Add your talking points and links to the episode's show notes
  • Keep private notes that only you and the host can see
  • Chat with the host and other participants

No account needed

You don't need to create an account, choose a password, or install anything. You just confirm your email address once, and you're in.

Start Here

Work through these guides in order, or jump to the one you need:

  1. Verify Your Email: get into the portal with the link from your invitation email
  2. What Is the Guest Portal?: a tour of everything you'll find inside
  3. Contribute to Show Notes: add talking points, and learn what's shared versus private
  4. Message Your Host: use the episode chat to coordinate before the recording
  5. Create a Free Account: optional, but handy if you guest on podcasts regularly
  6. Your Reputation as a Guest: approve endorsements and control your rating display

Stuck?

If your invitation link isn't working, the fastest fix is almost always the same: contact the host who invited you and ask them to resend your invitation. They can do it in a couple of clicks.
